Ich habe verdammt noch mal keine Ahnung, was das hier ist, aber es ist verdammt genial! Ein wunderschönes Ambientalbum, friedlich, abwechslungsreich, voller Ideen und Klangvielfalt. Würde ich ohne schlechtes Gewissen in einem Atemzug mit Main, Biosphere, Orb, und all den anderen "Chefs" dieses Genres nennen, ohne Scheiss! by Bernd Spring @ Dhyana Records Acts like these are an absolute Godsend. No faffing about, no excess baggage, no pissing around with niceties - just straight out ambience. The subterranean bass waves alone are enough to trouble the seismographs at Greenwich, and the soundscapes are so thick and swampy you could drown in them. Fuzzy and deep and most definitely good things. by GIAG Even less information is known about Pi Cab Alter. No names, no background, just this one hour filled with fifteen tracks, but at least something is going on here. Somebody has had a few ideas. Pi Cab Alter delves from the ambient source of music, with a dash of neo-gothic (I think they are called 'heavenly voices' by some) in the form of voice samples. These samples are fed through a series of synths and filters and come with some fairly interesting ambient, although half way through one wishes for a change of diet. The last two tracks finds them all of a sudden in a more experimental mood. Maybe a bit more of that and then mixed in with the other tracks? Grossartige atmosphärische, flächige und vielschichtige Klangcollagen für die man auch wieder Stunden in Ruhe braucht um "Mémoire De L'éther Fluctuanmémoire De L'éther Fluctuan" völlig zu durchschauen, was im Endeffekt ohnehin nicht funktionieren wird. Die ätherische Atmosphäre, die immer wieder hell und klar und so schimmernd hervortritt, ist beeindruckend. by Creative Eclipse | ||
